Short-term, full-time summer care wanted for our funny, active 2 year-old - Nanny Wanted (CanadianNanny.ca) - Vancouver, British Columbia (BC)
(Child Care) Our family of four is returning home to Vancouver for the summer, and we need a nanny/sitter for our 2 year-old son. (We also have a 5 year-old, but he's enrolled in day camps, so you won't be caring for him.) Our toddler is a bright, active, inquisitive, and cheerful kid who loves exploring outdoors, reading books, doing puzzles, and anything and everything to do with construction and emergency vehicles. He has no allergies or special needs and the neighbourhood has plenty of parks, community centres, etc. nearby with drop-in activities and so on. He naps in the early afternoon for about 1-1/2 to 2 hours each day, which should give you a nice break midday. We are experienced employers both in our professional lives (we've both founded companies with more than 10 employees), and at home (we happily had the same wonderful nanny for 3-1/2 years before moving away from Vancouver). Both of us work in the technology sector; my husband is a university professor and entrepreneur, and I work for a startup. We are looking for someone who is comfortable and confident with: * preparing, serving, and tidying up after snacks and lunches (no additional housekeeping required); * changing diapers, brushing teeth, etc. - caring for typical hygiene needs; * reading books; * going for walks around the neighbourhood and engaging in active play (e.g. tossing balls, pushing a tricycle, etc.); and * working independently, e.g. pro-actively planning activities for the day: my husband and I both work from home most of the time, so will be upstairs in our offices and available if needed -- but we appreciate someone who enjoys making their own plans. Bonus points if you're experienced with potty training, as he seems to be starting to have some interest in learning to use the potty. :) Dates: This is a 6-week, full-time posting, from July 10 - August 18, Mon-Fri. Schedule negotiable, but either 8:30-4:30 or 9-5 would work best for us. Location: Dunbar/Kerrisdale area, near West 31st Avenue and MacDonald. It's a pet-free household. Please visit www.canadiannanny.ca to view full details and to apply. FREE REGISTRATION and lots of jobs to choose from!

Full-time/Live-out/Long-term Nanny position for 1 year-old twins (CanadianNanny.ca) - Vancouver, British Columbia (BC)
(Child Care) My husband and I are currently looking for a a full-time/live-out nanny for our one year-old twins. Ideally you would be able to start in June, though we're flexible on the start date. The role would primarily be centred around the twins; it might also involve a bit of time with our older son who will be starting kindergarten in September (he may need to be dropped off/picked up from school, which is a 10 minute walk from our home). We're also looking for someone who is willing to do light tidying, run small errands, etc. Nothing major - just household tasks to keep things in running order. The position would involve at least 40 hours/week, with the potential for paid overtime during busy times. It might also include some travel. My husband is a lawyer in the community, and I'm in my last year of law school. We're an active family - we spend a lot of time outdoors, riding bikes, hiking, skiing, etc. We live in the Riley Park area - we're a 10 minute walk from the heart of Main street and very close to neighbourhood parks and activities. We're hoping to find someone who would like a stable, long-term position, and someone who wants to provide an engaging, caring and supportive environment for our twins as they discover the world around them. We are looking for a very special nanny. Is it you? (CanadianNanny.ca) - North Vancouver, British Columbia (BC)
(Child Care) We are a family of 4 (Mom, Dad, 5.5 yo boy, and 3 yo boy) living next to the forest by Capilano Suspension bridge. We are looking for a nanny to work with us 31 hrs per week (M 12-5pm, T 12-5pm, W 12-5pm, Th 9am-5pm, Fr 9am-5pm). The boys are in kindergarten and preschool, and we need help with the hours theyre out of school, while were still working. Both parents are in and out of the house; we run a business from our home office. YOU are a highly experienced nanny who is knowledgeable about young children. You know how to handle a three year old that doesnt want to nap. You know how to encourage a child when they are timid in a way that empowers them to achieve on their own. You know how to enforce rules with a smile. Better yet, you know how to recognize when bad behaviour is coming and avoid it altogether most of the time. You are someone who has great ideas for helping our family develop: We are looking for someone who will be part of our team, not just a babysitter. You have your own car and are an incredibly safe driver. We value kindness, love, friendship, and being in and respecting nature. You are welcome to take the boys on adventures! Our boys love to read, explore, scooter and play. We dont watch television, spend time on devices, or play with computers with the kids. Our boys attend the Waldorf school and we are enjoying learning about, and experiencing this approach to child development. You are replacing a much loved nanny who is a big part of our lives but who is leaving us for further personal development. We have a weekly cleaner but you will do the children's laundry twice a week (no ironing) and keep the kids' rooms tidy (with their help!). We also expect the house to be in good shape at the end of the day, including wiping the table and counters after meals, emptying the dishwasher when needed, and doing our grocery shopping once a week. You will be relied on to make healthy, homemade food for lunch and snacks for the children. Please forward a resume and also a letter telling us who you are, why you are a nanny, what you like to do with the kids, and anything else you'd like to share. Let us know if you're able to travel with us, what kind of kid-friendly vehicle you drive, and if you can work early mornings or late nights. These are not required, but it's good to know. Nanny position available in Canada for three young children (CanadianNanny.ca) - Dawson Creek, British Columbia (BC)
(Child Care) We're looking for an energetic, fun-loving, responsible nanny to care for our three young children. We live in Northern British Columbia on a beautiful acreage just 10 mins from Dawson Creek, a small town of 12,000 people. The children are aged 4 and half and 3 years, with the third arriving late September! I plan being on maternity leave from Sept 2017-Feb 2018, but am looking for someone to start before my maternity leave ends. I'm flexible, so the start time can be anywhere between Oct 2017 to the beginning of Jan 2018. We are non-smokers and would prefer that the nanny is as well. Our daughter who is 4 and a half has a developmental delay, which has impacted her speech. I would classify her as special needs, as she has an aid at pre-school and does require a little extra care. She is absolutely lovely however, is independent in most things, with a great sense of humour, is not shy and gets along with everyone. Her brother who will be 3 this summer is a happy little boy who will talk your ear off. :) He will also be starting pre-school in the fall. Whoever becomes our nanny will need to be able to drive and we can provide a vehicle if needed. I would like the kids to remain active in playgroups and activities and they will need to be dropped off and picked up from pre-school at least one day per week. I am offering 30-35 hours a week. As I will be working part-time, on my days home when child care is not needed as much I may ask for housekeeping duties to be done. Also of note, we do have 3 dogs. They are hypoallergenic, but being comfortable with animals is important. They will not need walking, but they are both in and outdoor dogs so the nanny will be interacting with them on a regular basis. We would prefer a live out, but can accommodate a live in situation. If the nanny requires living quarters, she will have her own private room and living area, with a washroom. We like to think of ourselves as an easy-going family and would love the nanny to become a part of it. :) We look forward to talking to potential candidates and finding the right person for the job! Looking for an experienced, fun and flexible part time live out Nanny to begin in August 2017. (CanadianNanny.ca) - Vancouver, British Columbia (BC)
(Child Care) Hi Nannies! We are a down to earth British couple with a fun 1 year old daughter, Lilah, who need a part time live out Nanny to begin mid August. I am a midwife with a rotating shift schedule that varies week to week working either 2 or 3 days: 1 day will be in clinic and the other 1 or 2 will be on call so I may be at home for a portion of the day when it's quiet or working at the hospital if it's busy. The work days will vary each week but your hours will be 9-5 each shift so 16-24 per week. My husband Steve works from home and can also be very busy or fairly quiet and available (not a regular 9-5 job). We're looking for an experienced and reliable Nanny who can accommodate a part time schedule that changes week to week with the chance of occasional weekend coverage needed. Someone who is creative, imaginative, active, has a sense of humour and isn't afraid to get out for a walk on a rainy Vancouver day would be perfect for us. Lilah loves swimming, the local parks, music and reading so someone who enjoys these things and other activities like the aquarium, library, walks, indoor play and the beach is just what we're looking for! The job would include taking care of her for the day with stimulating activities, getting her down for naps, tidying up after her around the house, making and cleaning up her meals then the occasional bath or load of laundry (in suite). A clean driving license is handy but there is a lot to do within walking distance of our home and transit routes are also very close just 3 or 4 blocks away. An up to date criminal record check, CPR and First Aid are a must. We are non smokers and don't have any pets to look after. If you think you might be a great fit for our family then please get in contact by email with your resume, 3 Nanny related references and proof of the above credentials. Thanks! Nanny Wanted For Three Young Girls September 2017 (CanadianNanny.ca) - Kelowna, British Columbia (BC)
(Child Care) My family and I are looking for a calm, patient, nurturing individual to care for our three young girls starting in September 2017 and hopefully carrying on until at least the fall of 2018. We live in Coldstream ( suburb of Vernon ) and hoping someone will not mind the 30 minute commute from Kelowna. The hours will be Mon,Tues, Wed, and most Thursday's and a few Saturdays ( not likely full days). The days will be approximately 9-9.5 hours during the work week. A MUST for this position is the ability to stay late on those days (possibly a couple hours) if needed due to the nature of our careers. We are looking for this flexibility. Along with this we are also seeking an individual that would not mind extra babysitting at night or picking up an extra shift if it works out ( e.g.. Friday shift). This position will take a special person that can multi-task since my children are very busy and ages 6 ( 7 in August), 3 (4 in June), and 6 months. In the fall our eldest will be in school and my middle will be in preschool half a day on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Common sense to us is key. We expect someone that is able to be tidy and organized ( using common sense) and clean up after/with the children throughout the day as well as light housekeeping if there is time (e.g. put away laundry, make beds, put away toys, clean kitchen etc). Dinner prep or possibly making dinner on some nights will be needed depending on how the day goes. We do not expect our house to be pristine but we do expect someone to take the time to clean up the messes that may occur during the day in order to keep our household from not being a disaster. We realize that three children will be a lot of work so someone with energy and the ability to "tidy on the go" will be successful. Having said that, most days only two children ( and sometimes one) will be needing care. Another key to this job is having the ability to transport the children in your vehicle. Getting them out of the house daily. Whether it be to the park, strong start, swimming etc or just fun little adventures this is a must. It will have to be worked around a nap schedule for the youngest. Thus, this individual must be well organized and possibly plan the days ahead of time. Transporting to preschool, school, and activities will be required. While in the house our children are very hands-on so baking, crafts, make believe play, gardening etc are also wonderful. All the while the the baby will be in tow-this is why multi-tasking is so important to us We are looking for someone that can have lots of fun with the girls and get down to their level but be able to be their caregiver and role model. To provide guidance and rules while being patient and nurturing . Extra night time caregiving and possibly occasional overnight care is also something we are seeking if possible Please contact us ASAP if interested. I would like training to start if possible in May Please visit www.canadiannanny.ca to view full details and to apply. FREE REGISTRATION and lots of jobs to choose from!

Seeking loving, fun, exceptional nanny for our angel (CanadianNanny.ca) - Vancouver, British Columbia (BC)
(Child Care) Hello! We are a busy, modern, loving family who are 100% dedicated to our beautiful angel, our first born. Our lives are full of adventure, travel, love, and creating a life we love. My husband's and my number one priority is our daughter. Below is detailed information about us, our lives, and what we are looking for in a nanny. We have outlined what we are creating for our daughter. We hope to find someone who will love our daughter and who wants to join our passionate, fun loving life. Above all, we are looking for someone sincere, loving, and committed to caring for our daughter. A good fit for our family is someone who loves to smile, laugh, and have fun. We are very active and enjoy being outside. If you like what you read below, we look forward to meeting you. LOVE Everything is about love for our family. As we said, our daughter is our number one priority. We are not willing to expose our daughter to someone who will only care for her for a short period. We are looking for someone who is committed to staying with our family for a set period of time (agreed upon before you would start with us) so that our child has a consistent relationship with you. Children are open vessels of love and you must respect our daughters openness to love. VALUES We value authenticity, positivity, and gratitude. It is extremely important that whoever cares for our daughter inherently has these traits. A can-do attitude, optimism, and positive energy are essential. We do not use the words hard, try or cant. We are teaching our daughter she can have it all through creating her universe and working hard so there are no obstacles, just opportunities. OUR WORK We live very busy, active lives. We are both entrepreneurs and do not work 9 AM- 5 PM. We work all hours and work in various locations including our homes and around the world. We need our home to be clean and organized (which it currently is) and we need someone who understands that our schedules are very demanding and varied. You may travel with us. If you need consistency, you will not find that with our family. If you like adventure and being flexible, you'll fit right in. HEALTH It is important for us to be very active. We workout every day and eat very clean, nutritious meals. It is important that our baby to learn to respect her body and eat healthy food, be active, and value her health. As she grows, she is not permitted to eat junk food, especially as rewards. We want her to explore various cuisines and palates. We spend time in nature whenever possible, including walks, trail running, hiking, and watching sunsets. CULTURE We believe in learning through traveling, books, being in nature, and having rich conversations. We want our daughter to experience art, music, and other forms of self-expression. We are not aligned with the zoo as we do not believe in animal captivity. We do not have a TV. We will not take her to the mall to be entertained, LANGUAGES It is important that our nanny speaks another language i.e. Spanish with our daughter. We also prefer someone who speaks Italian (not essential). PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT We will be willing to pay a portion of self-development courses for our nanny. Our nanny must be open to taking self-development courses to expand her horizons as this will directly impact how we communicate and how you interact with our daughter. SUMMARY In summary, we are looking for an exceptional nanny. We are looking for someone who will play, teach, lead and LOVE our daughter. We are looking for someone to be an extension of our family. Our number one commitment is our daughter and we want someone who will share that commitment. We are very excited to meet you! Please visit www.canadiannanny.ca to view full details and to apply.
